Lions, Lioness thank community for support

The Canyon Lake Lions and Lioness members thank the community for supporting their annual two-day garage sale fundraiser earlier this month.

The proceeds from the sale will be used to help needy families in the community and to support organizations that aid the sight-impaired.

The Canyon Lake Lions Club was formed on Jan. 23, 1975, and is part of the largest service organization in the world. The members collect used eyeglasses to aid in the organization’s goal to help those with sight problems. Monthly meetings are held on the second Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the county club. For more information, contact Bob Hurst at 951-233-0355.

The Lioness Club meets monthly on the third Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Anyone who would like to attend a meeting should contact LaRue McNamara at 951-244-6470.
