9ers Golf Club to host Scholarship Tournament

The Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club invites the public to participate in its annual Scholarship Tournament on Dec. 12. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward scholarships for Canyon Lake student-athletes who will be attending college in 2020. This year’s theme is Winter Wonderland.

The entry fee is $40 for annual members and $60 plus a $10 cart fee for non-annual members. Dinner is included. An additional $30 bundle package includes two mulligans, two magic putts, one Putting Contest card, one Poker Contest card, pro’s drive and a raffle ticket.

The format is an 18 hole 3 par stroke play. Players have an opportunity to win a golf cart for a hole-in-one on holes 8 and 11.

Signups are taken at the Golf Pro Shop at the country club. The registration deadline is Dec. 9.

The tournament starts with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Putting Contest at 11 a.m., a shotgun start at 12 p.m. and dinner, a raffle and a silent auction at 5:30 p.m.
