The Woman’s Club’s annual Holiday Home Tour will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s theme is “Twinkle Lights and Lake Life.”

Sponsored by the Woman’s Club, the home tour features tours of five Canyon Lake homes, vendors and an opportunity drawing. Tickets cost $15 each and are on sale now. For tickets, contact Jan May at 951-970-8333. Vendor spaces are available and cost $40 per booth. For vendor information, contact Sue Collins at 951-246-2773.

The tour begins at the lodge at 9 a.m. where participants can pick up maps, enjoy refreshments, purchase opportunity drawing tickets and shop at vendor booths. The tour of the homes begin at 10 a.m. and ends at the lodge at 3:30 p.m. where the tree, wreath and centerpiece opportunity drawing winners will be announced. These items will be on display at the lodge starting on Nov. 23. Opportunity drawing tickets cost $1 each or $5 for six.

Each week leading up to the tour, The Friday Flyer will feature one home on the tour.

Home two, “Santa’s Favorite Hangout,” belongs to Shelli and Justin Lewis.

Two gorgeous palm trees welcome guests to this three-bedroom, two-bath home. Upon entering, guests will be immediately struck by the cool vibe, and not just from the winter decor. This house is exactly where you’d want to hang out.

Justin and Shelli were high school sweethearts who went their separate ways and reconnected later in life right before Shelli’s open-heart surgery. Their story was meant to be, and they’ve taken great care to make Justin’s family’s 1970s bungalow their own.

Your mind’s eye will allow you to picture the tasteful gray and neutral palette of the home without the holiday decorations, but on this tour, those are the star.

Shelli showcases her unique Santa collection, including a life-size one off the kitchen. In the window, visitors will see the classic leg lamp from “A Christmas Story,” which neighbors and Canyon Lakers alike drive by to view as part of their holiday traditions.

Visit the renovated bar area to view Justin’s massive stein and Budweiser memorabilia. A trip to their office showcases more limited edition collector’s pieces. Be sure to check out the European spa shower that plays music and Shelli’s beautifully arranged crosses on the master bedroom wall. The breathtaking main lake views make this cozy and tasteful home one you won’t want to leave.
