Fine Arts Guild announces 2020 concert schedule

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild has announced its 2020 musical lineup of tribute artists. Performing in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge will be tribute bands for the Eagles on Jan. 18, Crosby Stills Nash & Young on Mar. 28, Brooks & Dunn on May 30 and Queen on Oct. 17. Tickets are on sale now at

These tribute bands provide the look, sound and feel of how these chart-busting artists performed while in their prime. The Guild will also sponsor two free summer concerts for the community at the amphitheater at Holiday Harbor. Kicking off the summer will be Motown Night on June 20 and closing out the summer will be a tribute to Journey on Aug. 1. Canyon Lakers can expect an evening of short sleeve weather, food trucks and lots of boats tied up behind the stage.

A Fine Arts Guild membership is not required to attend its concerts; however, membership includes priority seat selection as well as a pre-concert reception prior to each lodge concert, with food and adult beverages prior to each event.

Patron level membership includes season tickets with the highest priority selection in the VIP section, while the Sponsor level includes seating selection prior to the public and the pre-concert reception.

“The Guild is grateful to our community for supporting this program,” said Guild President Ron Martel. “We have sold out every tribute performance over the last four years and completely filled the amphitheater at our summer events. Last year, for the first time, memberships sold out, as we filled the entire lower level at the lodge for the pre-concert receptions. The Guild doesn’t take anything or anybody for granted, so expect an even more exciting program this coming year.”

The 2020 concert schedule is as follows:

Jan. 18: Aaron Boering co-founded the nationally renowned Eagles tribute band Desperado in 2002. With five lead vocalists and instrumentalists, Desperado has been presenting the music of the most popular band of the 70s, the Eagles, with hits such as “Hotel California,” “Taking It Easy,” “Tequila Sunrise” and “Best Of My Love.”

Mar. 28: CSN Express captures the true look and sound of the iconic Crosby Stills Nash & Young and will take the audience on a musical journey celebrating five decades of hit music. This show promises to deliver powerful moments that bring the audience to its feet, clapping and singing along to favorite songs such as “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” “Our House,” “Just a Song Before I Go,” “Teach Your Children” and many more.

May 30: One of the most popular country acts of the 90s, Brooks & Dunn, have sold more records than any other duo in any music genre. The soulful Ronnie Dunn and the high-energy Kix Brooks delivered rowdy, rocked up honkytonk tracks, alternating with smooth ballads. Neon Circus was formed to accurately recreate this exciting live showdown to the last detail, performing hit country anthems like “My Maria,” “Neon Moon,” and “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.”

Oct. 17: Queen is one of the most legendary groups in rock history. Charismatic frontman Freddie Mercury mesmerized audiences and took showmanship to a new level. Queen Nation was formed in 2004 to deliver a live production of Queen’s greatest hits and aimed to preserve their image, sound and stage persona. Audiences will be astounded at Queen Nation’s live retrospective journey through such songs as “We Will Rock You,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Are The Champions,” “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” “You’re My Best Friend” and “Another One Bites The Dust.”

June 20: Everyone loves Motown music, so Canyon Lakers will be on their feet groovin’ and movin’ to the eight-piece Summerhill Soul Band. The ensemble includes lead and backup vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, saxophone and trumpet. This group of talented local musicians will be performing favorites from Aretha Franklin, Sly & The Family Stone, Marvin Gaye, Sade, Rufus, Chaka Khan and many more.

Aug. 1: DSB was formed in 2009 and quickly captured the lush and signature sound of Journey and its renowned vocalist Steve Perry in its prime. DSB was named World’s Greatest Journey Tribute Band by AXS.TV and the Best Rock Tribute Band by Vegas Rocks Magazine. Complete with a team of world-class musicians, DSB remains true to Journey’s musical legacy.
