Country music singer, songwriter and storyteller Billy Dean made his debut in Canyon Lake on Saturday evening at the lodge. Dean captivated the audience with both his storytelling and music.

Dean opened the show with “I Wanna Take Care of You,” a song he dedicated to Canyon Lake couple Anneda and Doug Schultz in appreciation of their hospitality during Dean’s two-day stay in Canyon Lake.

The show’s setlist also included Dean’s smash-hit “Billy the Kid,” a song that spent 20 weeks on the Hot Country Songs charts.

A poignant moment in the concert came when Dean sang “Happy Birthday” to a 94-year-old gentleman in the audience.

Concert goers were treated to autographs and photos with the singer during a meet and greet after the show.

Prior to the concert, Dean attended a private dinner at the lodge. Being the entertainer he is, Dean grabbed his guitar and entertained the diners while waiting for dinner to be served.
