Bassmasters tourney winners announced

With a total fish weight of 17.45 pounds, Jim Wright and Travis Smith came in first place in the Bassmasters Club’s October fishing tournament. Mark White and Steve Marin came in second place with five fish weighing a total of 14.73 pounds. Fishing by himself, Joe Merrill took third place with five fish weighing a total of 13.30 pounds.

Steve Marin caught a bass weighing 5.56 pounds, earning him the title of “Big Fish of the Day.”

Teams have a five fish limit. All fish are released back into the lake.

The Bassmasters Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. Tournaments are typically held on the first Saturday of each month.
