Axl is a 10-year-old Terrier mix looking for a quiet home to call his own. His caretakers said he loves to lounge on his bed and prefers not to walk around too much. Lola is a five-year-old cat looking for a home to rule over. Her caretakers said she loves being the queen of the castle and would prefer to be the only cat in the home. She loves to be pampered with treats and ear rubs. Lola is spayed and ready to be adopted. Her intake number is 346369. Reference picture: Lola.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome.
