The Yacht Club invites boat owners to enter this year’s annual Parade of Lights boat parade on Saturday, Dec. 14. With the parade just six weeks away, now is the time for participants to start planning.

The Yacht Club is hosting two workshops featuring past winners who will share their tips on how to decorate an entry. The workshops are recommended for both first time and past participants. The workshops will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3, and Sunday, Nov. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the home of Commodore Dave Dain at 22680 Lighthouse Dr.

The club will also be posting “Tip of the Day” tips and special announcements on social media.

There is no entry fee to enter the parade. Entry forms will be printed in future editions of The Friday Flyer and will be available at the POA office.

Participants who do not submit an entry form will not be eligible for cash prizes and awards. The top-scoring boat will take home the coveted Commodore’s Award.

The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. Lineup starts at 4:30 p.m. at the East Port Park launch ramp.

Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $150 to $500 are available. For more information, contact Commodore Dain at ddain297@gmail.com.
