Lions, Lioness garage sale fundraiser starts today

The community is invited to shop at the Canyon Lake Lions and Lioness annual two-day garage sale fundraiser today Nov 1, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the home of Lioness Shirley D’Agostino at 30489 Meadowlark Dr. The sale features kitchenware, china, glassware, clothing, books, decorative household items, small appliances, holiday decorations, jewelry and more.

The proceeds from this event will be used to help needy families in the community and to support organizations that aid the sight-impaired.

In addition to the garage sale, the Lioness Club members are selling decorative holiday and special occasion glass blocks to raise money for its mission to help eradicate blindness around the world. The blocks cost $25 each and include LED lights and a battery pack.

The American Veteran Thrift Store received the glass blocks from Kathleen Morey then donated them to the Canyon Lake Lioness club for its latest fundraiser.

The blocks may be customized for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and special occasions. The blocks will be available at the garage sale and at the Holiday Boutique on Nov. 9 and 10 at the senior center. For more information or to place an order, contact Lioness Shirley D’Agostino at 951-265-7887.
