The annual Holiday Home Tour will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s theme is “Twinkle Lights and Lake Life.”

Sponsored by the Woman’s Club, the home tour features tours of five Canyon Lake homes, vendors and an opportunity drawing. Tickets cost $15 each and are on sale now. For tickets, contact Jan May at 951-970-8333. Vendor spaces are available and cost $40 per booth. For vendor information, contact Sue Collins at 951-246-2773.

The tour begins at the lodge at 9 a.m. where participants can pick up maps, enjoy refreshments, purchase opportunity drawing tickets and shop at vendor booths. The tour of the homes begin at 10 a.m. and ends at the lodge at 3:30 p.m. where the tree, wreath and centerpiece opportunity drawing winners will be announced. These items will be on display at the lodge starting on Nov. 23. Opportunity drawing tickets cost $1 each or $5 for six.

The club is seeking volunteers to serve as hostesses to help ensure that the homes are safe and the tour is successful. Each shift is two hours.

Each week leading up to the tour, The Friday Flyer will feature one home on the tour. This week’s feature is “Trees the Season,” a three bedroom, three bath home owned by Tammy and Randy Revard. The home on Village Way Drive showcases a festive touch with a view of the lake.

Tammy and Randy embrace decorating for the holiday season, done in memory of Randy’s mother who enjoyed Christmas. Their home features 10 holiday trees, each with a special meaning. Included among them are Randy’s fishing tree and a pink tree honoring Randy’s mother’s fight with breast cancer.

Last year, the couple added a movie-themed tree. Feeling blessed with Randy’s double lung transplant in February 2017, they are adding a Donate for Life tree to their tree collection this year.

Tammy and Randy have a hot air balloon tree, featuring stained glass that reflects rainbows, that they keep up year-round because it reminds them of the love they have for lost family and friends.

In addition to the trees and sentimental offerings, the home features fun animated décor, which earned the couple the title of Most Humorous House by the Canyon Lake Homeowners Club in 2014.

Their guest bedroom features a boat-shaped bed and their two patios, where they often entertain, features views of the lighthouse and sunsets.
