POA to host Halloween bash Oct. 31 at lodge

The POA is hosting a spooktacular Halloween bash on Oct. 31 at the lodge and a Dia de Los Muertos celebration on Friday, Nov. 1, at the country club. Both events are free to attend.

The Halloween bash at the lodge starts at 6 p.m. and features costume contests with prizes, happy hour specials all night long, chilling drink specials and live entertainment featuring local entertainer DJ Aprile DeAnne. Dinner will be served in the restaurant. Dinner reservations can be made online at canyonlakelighthouse.com or by calling 951-244-6841, ext. 771.

The celebration continues on Friday evening with a Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) party at the country club from 6 to 10 p.m. This event features costume contests with prizes, live music featuring the Joe Ferrero Band, a photo booth backdrop and drink specials that include $5 Mexican candy shots, prickly pear margaritas and Modelo bottles.

The country club is open to the public and will be open for regular business hours from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Halloween. For dinner reservations, call 951-246-1773.

Costumes are encouraged at both events; however, costume weapons and props that can be used as a weapon will not be permitted at either venue.
