Rocktoberfest features Red, White and Brews theme

The Jr. Woman’s Club invites the community to its 5th annual Rocktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Holiday Harbor Park. This year’s theme is Red, White and Brews. Patriotic and Oktoberfest attire and costumes are encouraged.

Rocktoberfest 2019 features beer tastings from local craft microbreweries, food and merchandise vendors, live music featuring The Bad Dancers, a Weiner Dog Race, a Beer Stein Holding Contest and a Cornhole Tournament.

Entry to the event is free, beer tasting stamp cards cost $20. A picture ID and a wristband will be required to purchase alcohol.

Every year, the club donates its beer tips to a worthy cause. In keeping with the Red, White and Brews theme, the club will be donating this year’s tips to local veterans associations. The JWC is a non-profit philanthropy club that holds fundraising events throughout the year to help fund scholarship programs, help local families in need and donate to park improvements in Canyon Lake. Monthly club meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month.
