In September, Canyon Lakers Mavis and Randy Schutz, Nancy and Bob Tice and Linda and Roger Kielty embarked on a bucket list trip to the Baltic countries. The three couples met in Copenhagen, Denmark, a few days before boarding the Regal Princess for an 11-day cruise.

The couples visited Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; Berlin, Germany; and Oslo, Norway. Each couple planned excursions independently. Some excursions were spent together, others were not.

The Tices and Kieltys chose to tour Berlin, visiting The Wall, Check Point Charlie and the countryside of Germany. The Schutzs visited the 800-year-old seaside town of Rostock and the Schiverin Castle. Both the Tices and Schutzs wanted to see the Icebar in Stockholm, Sweden, and the Kieltys and Schutzs visited the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park, Viking Museum and the iconic Olympic Ski Jump in Oslo, Norway. St. Petersburg was a definite favorite of the group.

“It was an amazing trip with beautiful weather. Most days were in the 80s,” said Mavis.
