Santa Rosa Academy hosts Freedom Run

Santa Rosa Academy hosted Menifee’s annual Freedom Run on Saturday, Sept. 14. The event featured 5K and 3K races, a car show, vendor fair, food, drawings, games, rock painting, a photo booth, emergency vehicles and activities for kids.

The winners of the 5K race are Bryce Bowen, Isaac Felix and Reece Johnson. The 3K race winners are Max Lashley, Titus Ortiz, Isaac Felix and Daniel Heiner. Santa Rosa Acadamy congratulations all winners, especially Isaac Felix who placed in both races.

The theme of this year’s Freedom Run was centered around honoring Patriots Day. Many of the vendors are wounded and disabled veterans, first responders and active-duty military personnel. Several vendors plan to donate their proceeds to programs that assist veterans and active-duty military personnel.

A dedication wall was featured inside the Freedom Village Vendor Fair where visitors could dedicate a portion of the wall to veterans and first responders.

Santa Rosa Academy is a public charter school, serving students in Canyon Lake and other cities in Riverside County.
