Canyon Lake Kids Club resumes program

After a summer break, the Canyon Lake Kids Club resumed its program on Tuesday, Sept. 10. On their first day back, the kids learned to draw squares, write the number zero and how to spell the color red. The group enjoyed a reading of the book “The Pigeon Has to Go to School” and writing their names in cereal.

On Thursday, the kids celebrated National Video Game Day with exergaming, an activity that combines video games and fitness, and made a pipe cleaner dance craft.

The Kids Club is a program in which young children and their parents or grandparents enjoy a morning of crafts, music, exercise, games, sports and a snack. The preschool learning-based program also includes field trips throughout the year.

Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Sunset Beach Room on the lower level of the lodge. The program is led by Christie Hall, Sarah Card and Rocio Triolo.

The cost is $2 per class. Those who purchase a 10-class punch card will receive two classes free. Punch cards can be purchased in class.
