More than 160 anglers between the ages of five and 15 fished around the lake on Saturday in hopes of catching the “big one” at the 33rd annual Kids Fishing Derby.

Hosted by the Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club, the event featured trophies, a free lunch that included hot dogs, chips, drinks and snow cones, a prize drawing and an opportunity drawing for two Aqua Lily Pads.

Every child who entered the derby went home with a prize. All participants were entered into a drawing for an opportunity to win one of four bicycles. The four winners are Justin Fleck, Ryan Rudnick, Kyleigh Dilucchio and Logan Reyes. Philip Espeleta and Jonathan Eads each won an Aqua Lily Pad in the opportunity drawing.
