Rocky is a two-year-old Husky looking for a “fur”ever home. His caretakers said he is fun, friendly, enjoys a lot of walks and playtime and likes to give kisses. Rocky is neutered and ready to be adopted. His intake number is 410613. Reference picture: Rocky.

Miko is a four-year-old cat looking for a family to call his own. His caretakers said he is super sweet and friendly and likes ear rubs and treats. Miko is neutered and ready to go to his “fur”ever home. His intake number is 484693. Reference picture: Miko.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
