Luna is a sweet four-year-old pit bull who was brought to the shelter when her owners were hospitalized and could no longer care for her. Her caretakers said she is a very loving girl who will “talk” to get attention. She is laid-back and enjoys swimming, chew toys and being with her people. Her previous owner said she likes men and children but prefers women. She needs to be the only dog in the home. Luna is spayed and ready to be adopted. Her intake number is 341225. Sassy Girl is a tortoiseshell cat looking for the purrrfect home to call her own. Her caretakers said she is playful and sweet. She loves wet food and will stretch up on your chest for good loving and some treats. Sassy Girl is spayed and ready to go to her “fur”ever home. Her intake number is 475974. All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
