Little League Fall Ball registration ends Sept. 3

Canyon Lake Little League invites boys and girls ages four to 12 to sign up for Fall Ball. Fall Ball is an instructional league where practices and games are focused on teaching the fundamentals of batting, pitching, fielding and base running. It’s a great time to learn new skills and try new positions. Fall baseball is the “spring training” of Little League.

The season runs from mid-September to November, ending before Thanksgiving break. All practice and home games will be at Gault Field in Canyon Lake.

Players must reside in Canyon Lake, Canyon Hills or Westridge, or attend Cottonwood

Elementary or Canyon Lake Middle School to be eligible.

Players must be between the ages of four through 12 on or before Aug. 31, 2019. There are no exceptions. The age restriction is a national Little League rule not governed by Canyon Lake Little League. The age the child will be on Aug. 31 will be their official league age and will determine the division they will play in.

Registration is taken online at clllca.com. Registration ends Sept. 3. The cost is $70 for all divisions and includes season play with instruction, shirt, hat and belt. Players need to purchase their own pants and socks.

The league is always looking for good coaches. Fall Ball is less demanding and a great way for new coaches to test the waters and for experienced coaches to keep in touch without the time demands of the spring season.
