Adopt-a-Pet: Izzy and Ryder

Izzy is a three-year-old pit bull mix who has found herself back at AFB and is looking for the perfect family to call her own. Her caretakers said she is a sweet girl who is playful, loving and smart. She is a staff and volunteer favorite. Her adoption fee is only $5. Izzy is spayed and ready to go to her “fur” ever home. Kittens are flooding the shelter right now and three-month-old Ryder is just one of the adoptable babies who can’t wait to be adopted. He will need to be neutered before he goes home. If Ryder is adopted between Friday, Aug. 16, and Sunday, Aug. 18, his neuter fees will be sponsored by Lucky Chi Dog Rescue. Ryder’s intake number is 479607. Reference picture: Ryder.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.
