Jumping Jack Flash returns to Canyon Lake Aug. 10

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild is hosting a free Rolling Stones tribute concert for the community on Aug. 10 at Holiday Harbor Park, featuring Jumping Jack Flash. Those who attended the Fine Arts Guild’s Beatles vs. Stones concert a few years ago at the lodge will remember Jumping Jack Flash for their remarkable energy and enthusiasm.

The Fine Arts Guild is sponsoring this event, titled “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll,” as part of its mission to promote entertainment and quality music to the community and to thank the community for its support throughout the year.

The event will start at 6 p.m. with a picnic in the park and a performance by Southern Reign.

The band plays classic rock and country cover songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Jumping Jack Flash will perform at 8 p.m.

There will be a food truck, taco truck, barbecue vendor and ice cream truck. The Jr. Women’s Club will be offering alcoholic beverages for purchase in the snack bar.

In addition to more food and beverage services, portable toilets will be added and shuttle buses will be provided for this concert.

The Fine Arts Guild will wrap up its 2019 season with a Doobie Brothers tribute concert on Sept. 7 and a Neil Diamond tribute on Oct. 19. Both concerts will be held at the lodge.

Tickets are $25 for General Admission and $45 for VIP. Tickets are on sale now at canyonlakeguild.org and at the POA office.
