In Memoriam: Darrell James Karlen

Local resident of Canyon Hills, Darrell James Karlen, passed away Sunday morning, July 28, 2019.

Darrell was born in Pine Island, Minnesota, and became a California resident in the late 1950s. Darrell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management and worked 40 years for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing.

Darrell leaves behind his loving wife MaryAnn, sisters Charlotte Woodbridge and Kathleen Valis and brother Roger Karlen. Darrell had six children, Jim, Linda, Dave, Maureen and twins Brenda and Bryan, and four grandchildren, Amanda, Andrea, Logan and Jacob Karlen.

Services will be held at Canyon Lake Community Church on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at 3 p.m. at The Sports Stop.

He will be missed by all.
