CL students invited to apply for scholarship

Canyon Lake junior and senior high school students who are actively involved in giving back to the Canyon Lake community are invited to apply for the Pickleball Club’s $500 scholarship.

“Ideally, this scholarship would be to help a student with their educational needs and be awarded to a student who has not received any other awards as yet for their community service,” said Pickleball Club President Steve Libring. “The Pickleball Club members were so gracious to donate funds to make this happen, we’re excited to see what type of response we get.”

Applicants are asked to write a one page (600 words or less) description of the community service they provide in Canyon Lake and email it to steve.libring@gmail.com.

The application deadline is Aug. 31. Applications will be reviewed during the month of September for a decision by the club.
