Bear is a five-year-old Shepherd Husky mix looking for a loving home to call his own. He would be best with a quiet, patient family. According to his caretakers, Bear is shy and could use some real loving to help him blossom. He is neutered and ready for adoption. His intake number is 475655. Reference picture: Bear.

Sidney and Sylvester, the last two brothers of their litter to be adopted, are looking for loving homes. They are just two of the hundreds of kittens that have come through the doors at AFV this kitten season. Sidney’s intake number is 476393. Sylvester’s intake number is 476396. All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
