FMC hosts annual Sand Castle Building Contest and Pirate Dig

The Family Matters Club hosted its 6th annual Sand Castle Building Contest and Pirate Treasure Dig during Taco Tuesday on July 9 at Sunset Beach. The first place winners are brothers Carson and Cruz Dilucchio. Nolan Glassco came in second and Jaden and Rachel Barns placed third. The winners were awarded prizes for their efforts.

The Pirate Treasure Dig was manned by Karen Bevans, Karina Bowen and Johnny McCloskey, who helped the kids dig for jewels, coins, pirate necklaces and sea creatures. Children were given eye patches, pirate masks and other pirate-themed goodies.
