Guild to host free concert for community

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild invites the community to enjoy a picnic and free concert under the stars tomorrow, June 29, at the amphitheater at Holiday Harbor Park.

“Margaritaville by the Lake” features the Jimmy Buffett tribute band Stars on the Water. The San Diego-based band will treat the audience to tropical rock harmonies influenced by Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Boys and The Eagles.

The Fine Arts Guild encourages the community to enjoy a picnic in the park prior to the main act. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with food, beverages and a performance by the cover band The Bad Dancer. While The Bad Dancers perform, a food truck will be offering chicken sandwiches, burgers, corn dogs, tater tots, and beverages.

The Junior Women’s Club will be selling margaritas, wine and beer. Attendees may also bring there own food and beverages. The Fine Arts Guild will be providing water and fans.

The Fine Arts Guild recommends early arrival, seats are likely to fill up fast. Low beach chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome. The parking lot will be used for golf cart, handicapped and boat trailer parking only.
The Fine Arts Guild invites Canyon Lakers to return to the amphitheater on Aug. 10 for another free concert, featuring the Rolling Stones tribute band Jumping Jack Flash.

The Fine Arts Guild offers these free summer concerts in appreciation for the support the community has given the Fine Arts Guild over the years.
