The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce and The Cup Above invite Canyon Lake residents to enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation with Chris Mann, Canyon Lake’s new city manager, on Wednesday, June 19, at 8 a.m. at The Cup Above in the Canyon Lake Towne Center at 31700 Railroad Canyon Rd.

After an exhaustive two month search and reviewing the qualifications of 34 applicants, the City Council appointed Mann to the position of city manager in March.

Although this is Mann’s first city manager post, he brings to Canyon Lake, a wide breadth of experience, both in the public and private sectors. Mann also served on the San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency Board and on the Yucaipa Valley Board, where he was appointed president in January 2019.

Mann is responsible for the efficient administrations of all departments operating within the City of Canyon Lake, while providing overall direction to ensure that city policy is adhered to.

Mann also oversees the functions of Human Resources and Risk Management, Economic Development, Communication, preparation of the Annual Operating Budget, all contract administration, state and federal grant processing and agenda processing and review for the City Council.
