Fine Arts Guild brings ‘Sinatra’ to the lake

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild presented Matt Mauser and the twelve-piece Pete Jacobs Orchestra last Friday night to a full house audience in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Entertaining fans since the late 90s, Mauser and Jacobs mesmerized Canyon Lake with the sound and feel of Frank Sinatra at the height of his career with The Count Basie Orchestra at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Sinatra has been one of the most recognizable symbols of American culture. Mauser recreated the subtleties of Sinatra’s style, which made him one of the most influential artists and musical icons ever. Mauser then surprised the audience with songs by Bobby Darin, Sammy Davis Jr., Tom Jones, Elton John, Chicago and Led Zeppelin.

The Fine Arts Guild will be celebrating tomorrow in the Fiesta Day Parade as Canyon Lake’s Organization of the Year. Then, on June 29, presenting a free Jimmy Buffett tribute concert for the community at the new amphitheater at Holiday Harbor Park.
