Shirley is a four-year-old German Shepherd looking for an active family to call her own. According to her caretakers, she has a lot of energy and loves to run, hike and play. She is a real go-getter looking for an inspirational coach to take her to the top. Teach her praise and she’s guaranteed to make you proud. Shirley is spayed and ready for adoption. Carson is a one-year-old kitty who was recently found in the street after having been struck by a car. This handsome boy was brought to emergency services where the staff immediately fell in love with him but were unable to afford the surgery that he needed to fix his broken hip. All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome.
