Yacht Club Lake Clean-Up Day is Saturday

The community is invited to join the Yacht Club members in cleaning up the lake tomorrow, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Yacht Club considers the lake to be one of Canyon Lake’s most precious resources and members want to do their part keeping it maintained.

Volunteers will gather on four boats and navigate the lake picking up shoreline debris that can be reached from boats. After the clean-up, members will meet for refreshments at the home of Jennifer and Dave Dain.

Residents who wish to participate are asked to contact Commodore Dave at 714-580-9358. Club membership and boat ownership are not required to participate.

Yacht club members enjoy fun events throughout the year, including the Moonlight Cruise, Progressive Dinner, Parade of Lights and monthly sunset cruises. Annual membership is $15.

The club’s monthly meetings are held on the fourth Thursday at the lodge. Cocktail hour is 5 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. Dinner is $20. For membership information, contact Membership Chair Mary Jane Kelly at 951-244-1768.
