Thirty-two Canyon Lakers enjoy ‘trip of a lifetime’

Thirty-two Canyon Lakers enjoyed “a trip of a lifetime” on a Carnival Vista cruise with stops in Montego Bay, the capital of Saint James Parish on Jamaica’s north coast, George Town, the capital of the Cayman Islands, and Cozumel, a Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea.

On Mar. 23, the group flew from San Diego to Houston where they boarded a charter bus to Galveston for a one night stay at the Four Points by Sheraton.

The next day they boarded the cruise ship and headed to Montego Bay where some members of the group enjoyed extreme zip lining and others went river rafting.

In Grand Cayman, the Canyon Lakers hired a private charter to take them to Starfish Point and to Stingray City where they swam with stingrays. They wrapped up their stay in Grand Cayman with lunch on the beach.

On their last stop in Cozumel, the group visited the Tulum Ruins, a 13th-century walled Mayan archaeological site that overlooks the sea, and relaxed at Mr. Sancho’s Beach on the south side of the island.
