Lioness Club seeking donations of pull-tabs

The Canyon Lake Lioness Club invites the community to help in its fundraising efforts by donating pull-tabs for a project to benefit Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House. Pull-tab donations are due by May 2 and may be given to any member of the Lioness Club or dropped off to Joanna Spiller at 23651 Cruise Circle Dr.

Aluminum pull-tabs can be popped off of soda, beer, soup and other food cans. Lioness members welcome donations of pull-tabs and combine them with their own collection to take to Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House where they are weighed and sold with the proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House.

Dozens of families will be able to stay closer to their hospitalized children thanks to an expansion to the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House that added 33 new guest suites to meet the growing needs of more than 1,000 families served each year from areas that include Riverside, San Bernardino, Coachella Valley and beyond.

The Ronald McDonald House program began in 1974 based on a simple idea: Provide a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since that time, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a Ronald McDonald House.
