Fine Arts Guild to present Frank Sinatra tribute concert at lodge

Sponsored by the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild, the Frank Sinatra tribute concert featuring Matt Mauser and the Pete Jacobs Orchestra will be held on Friday, May 17, at 8 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge.

This event is close to being sold out. General Admission tickets cost $25; VIP tickets cost $45. Tickets can be purchased on the Fine Arts Guild’s website at canyonlakeguild.org. General Admission tickets only may be purchased at the POA office.

Entertaining audiences since the late 90s, Mauser strives to mesmerize audiences by recreating the subtleties of Sinatra’s ability to tell a musical story with a smooth voice and unequaled phrasing. While there are plenty of tribute acts and impersonators of legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra, Mauser takes it to a level beyond.

In 2005, Matt enlisted Pete Jacobs and his 12-piece orchestra, forming a collaboration that captures Sinatra at the height of his career when singing with The Count Basie Orchestra at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Known as a perfectionist and for his immaculate sense of style, Frank Sinatra was not only one of the most influential artists and musical icons, he has become one of the most recognizable symbols of American culture. Renowned for his performing presence, he always insisted on performing with a live orchestra.

Tickets also are on sale now for the Fine Arts Guild’s Sept. 7 Doobie Brothers tribute concert and the Oct. 19 Neil Diamond tribute featuring Jay White. For more information, visit the Fine Arts Guild website at canyonlakeguild.org.
