Lucy is a four-year-old pit bull mix. This happy girl would be best as the only pet in the house. Her caretakers say she has a calm demeanor and so much love to give. Walker is a 10-month-old Labrador mix looking for an active family to call his own. His caretakers say he is playful and loves to run and go on long walks. His intake number is 432507. Reference picture: Walker.

Luna is a seven-year-old cat who loves to crawl up and sit on a lap and give love. She is spayed and ready to go to her “fur”ever home. Her intake number is 454914. Reference picture: Luna.

Roxy is a ten-year-old cat looking for a quiet home to relax in. Her caretakers say she is super sweet and loves to cuddle and get ear rubs. Roxy is spayed and ready to go to her “fur”ever home. Her intake number is 169151. Reference picture: Roxy.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
