CL Library offers free programs for all ages

The library recently welcomed Amanda McLaughlin as its new branch manager. She replaces Sandra Brautigam, who relocated to the Wildomar Library.

Located inside the City Hall building at 31516 Railroad Canyon Road, the Canyon Lake Library offers free programs for all ages. The library’s Cover to Cover reading program for children ages four to 12 kicked off on Mar. 2 and runs through Apr. 13. Participants can earn an achievement award for every five books read at reading level. The achievement award is good for a free hamburger or cheeseburger at any In-N-Out Burger. Children must signup for a reading log at the library to participate.

Children who are too young to read may participate by having books read to them by their parent or guardian. Children may receive up to three award certificates during the six-week program.

The Adult Book Club will meet on Monday, Apr. 29, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The club is open to new members. The book selection for April is “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr. Copies are available at the front desk at the library.
