Pool reopens tomorrow, offers spring classes

The Canyon Lake pool reopens tomorrow, Mar. 9. Lap swim hours are 7 to 10 a.m. Open swim hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Visitors to the pool will see a new look – new pool furniture has been added this year.

Pool activities include water aerobics, swimming lessons, water polo classes and Flick-n-Float Movie Nights.

Water Aerobics

Spring water aerobics run from Mar. 11 to May 23. Classes are offered Monday through Friday at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $2 per class or $25 per month for unlimited classes.

Swimming Lessons

Signups for swimming lessons start Mar. 9 at the pool. Lessons start June 17 and end Aug. 2. No classes July 1 through July 5. The cost is $80 per week and $50 for a second week or additional child. Purchase two weeks and receive the third week free.

Lessons are 30 minutes. Choose starting time of 10:15 a.m. or 11 a.m.

Adult swim lessons, from beginners to perfecting technique, are available on request.

Water Polo

Water polo signups start Mar. 9 at the pool. Classes are held June 17 through Aug. 2. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $55 per week. Buy two weeks and receive the third week free. Only one free week per household. All additional weeks cost $45 per week. Participants must be able to swim the full length of the pool, 25 yards.

Flick-n-Float

Flick-n-Float Movie Nights kick off at the pool with a special spring break movie on Saturday, Mar. 30. Residents and their guest are invited to bring a small float or beach chair and enjoy “Aladdin” poolside on the big screen. The movie starts at dusk.

Residents must present a valid POA card to enter the pool area. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Summer Flick-n-Float Movie Nights are scheduled for June 15, July 6 and Aug. 31.
