Annual Memberships

Annual golf memberships for Canyon Lake residents are $59 per month for juniors 17 years and younger, $109 per month for ages 18 to 35 and $167 for ages 36 and older. Annual family memberships are $296 per month. Annual memberships for non-Canyon Lake residents are $84 per month for juniors 17 years and younger and $225 per month for adults. Annual family memberships are $425 per month.

After Lunch Bunch

Twenty players entered last week’s game of Four Man Tin Whistle. The winners are as follows:

First place: Phil Coughlin, Bob Clow, Ross Hanover and Bob Tice, 87.

Second place: Bob Stinson, Tom D’Amato, Jim Paulis and Svenn Henrichsen, 85.

The winners of the weekly Skins competition are Clive Taylor on hole 3, Bob Stinson on hole 6, Jim Paulis on hole 12, Svenn Henrichsen on holes 9, 11, 13 and 17, Mike Pinto on hole 16 and Oscar Rowland on hole 18. The Closest to the Pin awards went to Jerry Swift on hole 8 and Jim Paulis on hole 11.

Now in its 39th year, the ALB offers a friendly game of golf every Friday throughout the year and an annual tournament in November. Entries are open to male golfers with an established handicap.

The entry fee is $5 with an optional Skins competition for $5. Tee time is 10 a.m.; signups are taken between 8:30 and 9:15 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club or by phone at 951-249-4565 or 951-237-6102.

Men’s Golf Club

Members of the Men’s Golf Club meet for play every Wednesday morning. Signups are taken between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. In addition to Wednesday games, the club sponsors eight major tournaments throughout the year. Dues include membership in the Southern California Golf Association. Canyon Lake residents and property owners age 18 and older and any member of the public who purchases an outside annual golf membership are eligible to join the club. Women’s Golf Club

The Women’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. The club meets on Tuesdays in the Magnolia Room at the country club between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. to tee off at 8 a.m. for 18 holes of golf. The club’s mission is promoted through camaraderie, social events, recognition and tournaments throughout the year. Major tournaments include the Presidents Cup, Club Championship, Senior Championship and Breast Cancer Tournament. Family Golf Club

The Family Golf Club promotes the sport of golf bringing together men, women and juniors in an atmosphere of education, camaraderie, fairness and competition in a friendly family oriented environment. The club hosts beginner and youth clinics, tournaments and social events throughout the year. The club’s official golf day is Wednesday at approximately 11:30 a.m. Some members schedule golf days on Mondays, Fridays or Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.

The tournament director works closely with Golf Pro Pat Kemball and his staff to assure tournaments are balanced. Family Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. Golf Lessons Special

Free Round of Golf

Canyon Lake residents can play their first round of golf for free. This offer is valid for new customers only and only one person per tract and lot.

Golf and Lunch Special

Residents and non-residents can enjoy one round of golf, practice on the range, a complimentary tour of the course and lunch at the country club for only $55. Golf cart fee is included.

Golf Pro Shop

The Golf Pro Shop at the country club features the latest in golf clubs from Ping, Mizuno, Callaway and Titleist. It also stocks Nike, EP Pro, Antigua and Foot Joy golf apparel. Canyon Lake Property Owner’s Association members receive a 20 percent discount on apparel.

Country Club

The Canyon Lake Country Club is open to the public and offers Happy Hour, daily specials and live music on Fridays. For reservations, call 951-246-1773.
