Lucky is a four-year-old Husky looking for an active family to play with. His caretakers say he has plenty of energy and loves to play tug-of-war after a long hike and plenty of time to run around the yard. Lucky is neutered and ready to go to his “fur”ever home. Handsome is a one-year-old tabby cat who certainly lives up to his name. His caretakers say he loves adventure, likes to play with his toys and enjoys scratches behind his ears.  Handsome is neutered and ready for adoption. His intake number is 371691. Reference picture: Handsome.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome.
