Luna is a four-year-old pit bull looking for a loving home. Her caretakers say she is full of love, walks on a leash and loves to play with her toys. Luna is spayed and ready to go to her “fur”ever home. Her intake number is 341225. Reference picture: Luna.

Knanardy is a six-year-old kitty looking for a home to call his own. His caretakers say he is a bit nervous at the shelter and can be shy at first. Knanardy is neutered and ready for adoption. As part of the “Tiff’s Picks” program, his adoption fees would be sponsored by Huey’s Rescue. His intake number is 444679. Reference picture: Knanardy.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic at 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
