Garth Brooks tribute concert is sold out

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild has announced that its Mar. 16 Garth Brooks tribute concert featuring Shawn Gerhard is completely sold out. The Guild also announced that for the first time in their 18-year history they are suspending memberships for the rest of the year due to out-growing space for pre-concert receptions. With this popularity, it is no coincidence that the Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce named the Fine Arts Guild Organization of the Year.

The Fine Arts Guild is now actively promoting its Frank Sinatra tribute concert featuring Matt Mauser and the Pete Jacobs Orchestra.

VIP seating to the May 17 concert is already 90 percent sold out. VIP tickets are $45. General admission tickets cost $25.Tickets to all of the Fine Arts Guild’s 2019 concert are on sale now through the Fine Arts Guild website at canyonlakeguild.org. General Admission tickets can be purchased at the POA office.

Entertaining audiences since the late 90′s, Mauser strives to mesmerize audiences by recreating the subtleties of Sinatra’s ability to tell a musical story with a smooth voice and unequaled phrasing.

In 2005, Matt enlisted Jacobs and his 12-piece orchestra, forming a collaboration that captures Sinatra at the height of his career when singing with The Count Basie Orchestra at the Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Known as a perfectionist and for his immaculate sense of style, Frank Sinatra was not only one of the most influential artists and musical icons, he has become one of the most recognizable symbols of American culture. Renowned for his performing presence, he always insisted on performing with a live orchestra.

The Guild’s Sept. 7 Doobie Brothers tribute concert will feature “Listen to the Music” as a re-creation of the famous rockers, playing all the famous “Doobie” hits.

The Neil Diamond tribute concert on Oct. 19 will feature Jay White, favorite tribute artist of Neil Diamond (and Neil’s mom). Jay’s tribute became the longest running act at Legends in Las Vegas.

The Fine Arts Guild is sponsoring two concerts for the community this summer. Both concerts will be held at the new outdoor amphitheater at Holiday Harbor Park.

“Margaritaville by the Lake,” a Jimmy Buffett tribute concert, will be held on June 29. A Rolling Stones tribute concert featuring “Jumping Jack Flash” will be held on Aug. 10.

In addition to sponsoring these free concerts, the Fine Arts Guild initiated the proposal and donated $25,000 to the POA toward the building of the new amphitheater. “This is in appreciation for the enthusiastic Canyon Lake support,” said Fine Arts Guild President Ron Martel. “We love music and love our community.”
