Oreo is a one-year-old pit bull mix looking for a family to love. According to her caretakers, Oreo has so much love to give her new family. She is playful, sweet and loves to give hugs and kisses. She prefers to be the only dog in the home. If you have other pets at home, bring them to the shelter for a meet and greet with Oreo before adopting her. Oreo is spayed and ready for adoption. Indy is a six-year-old cat seeking a quiet home to call his own. His caretakers say he loves to get brushes and pets and likes playing with toys and cardboard scratchers. He prefers fish and beef flavored food. Indy is neutered and ready for adoption. His intake number is 179519. Reference picture: Indy.

All dog and cat adoption fees include a microchip, basic shelter vaccines (excluding rabies) and a free veterinarian check-up. All cats/kittens, pit bulls and Chihuahua adoptions are just $5 (spay/neuter fees, if applicable, are additional).

For adoption or fostering, contact Animal Friends of the Valleys (AFV) at 951-674-0618. The shelter is located at 33751 Mission Trail in Wildomar. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter offers animals for adoption as well as providing animal control and spay/neuter services.

Low cost vaccinations and $20 microchipping are available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. seven days a week at AFV’s Low Cost Spay/ Neuter Clinic, 29001 Bastron Ave., Lake Elsinore. Walk-ins are welcome. To make an appointment, call 951-674-7729 (SPAY) or 951-374-3491.
