Use new ePass option for quicker gate access

Gate access to the community just got easier with the POA’s new ePass option. According to the POA, more than 350,000 vehicles come through the three community gates each month. Many of the vehicles that pass through are guests. At peak times, this can be challenging for anyone trying to access the community. To help alleviate the long lines and wait times at the gates, the POA now offers a new dwellingLive ePass option. This new feature allows Canyon Lake POA members to email passes to their guests so they can either be printed ahead of time or they can display the ePass on their smartphone for the gate guard to scan.

To use, log on to your dwellingLive account and select “Add Guest.” Under the “Select Pass Type” drop down bar, select “Guest.” Add the first and last name of your guest as it appears on their driver’s license. Enter the email address of your guest and select the dates you’d like to allow access. Select “Save and Send ePass.” You will be directed to a confirmation page. If all the information is correct, select “Send.” This feature also is available in the dwellingLive app.

If you are not registered for online access to your dwellingLive account, visit canyonlakepoa.com to sign up or visit the POA office for staff assistance.

The ePasses are only available for individual entries and not for party lists.

To submit party lists and for pre-printed guest passes, visit the POA office or email memberservices@canyonlakepoa.com.

The POA expects that these new procedures will help residents and their guest access the community quicker during busy times.

As a reminder, for a more efficient and expedited entry, members should always advise their guests that they will need to have their state-issued driver’s license as verification to enter the community and have the address they are visiting available to give to the gate guard. Members also should advise guests to arrive early during holidays or special events.
