Bassmasters announce tournament winners

Twelve boats participated in the Bassmasters Club December tournament. The team of Danny Batinich and Dave Brittenham took first place with five fish weighing a total of 11.86 pounds.

Chuck Moreno and Shane Miesel came in second place with five fish weighing a total of 8.86 pounds.

Travis Smith and Jack Smith reeled in third place with four fish weighing a total of 8.56 pounds.

The “Big Fish of the Day” went to Bentley Pilley, who reeled in a bass weighing 5.18 pounds.

All fish were released back into the lake.

The Bassmasters Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club. Monthly tournaments are held on the first Saturday of each month. Residents who like to fish and want to improve their skills in a low stress, friendly competitive environment are welcome to join.
