Women’s Golf Club hosts Christmas Tourney

The Women’s Golf Club held its annual Christmas Tournament on Dec. 11. The tournament was followed by lunch and the installation of the 2019 board of directors.

More than 100 toys were donated by the members and Golf Pro Pat Kemball and given to the Mattress Firm Foster Children Program, a recognized 501 non-profit that serves 2,500 foster children in the Temecula Valley. “Not everyone can be a foster parent, but anyone can help a foster child” is the motto of the program.  For more info, call Valerie Montgomery 951-244-5193.

The tournament winners are as follows:

Santa Flight

1st place: Donna Nunes, Alice Ramirez, Sue Sell, Gerry Meeks, Norma Yarbrough and Maxine Whalen

2nd place: Jeannette Williams, Valerie Montgomery, Cathy Barr, Mary Burns, Dorothy Washle and Lou DeYoung.

3rd place: Kathy Voss, Linda Johnson, Marilyn Bridges, Lila Gann and Dianne Schneider.

4th place (tie): Mimi LaRosa, Ura Furry, KK Beacher, Helen Sullivan, Lorie Sjomeling and Sila Hoekstra.

4th place (tie): Judy Kim, Darlene Cortez, Julie Faia, Linda Hudson, Linda Helmer and Anita Fairfield.

Snowman Flight

1st place: Carol Paulis, Jan McNeil, Darlene Crinion, Betty Henry, Bonnie Harlow and Carla Cords.

2nd place: Sandy Dawson, Kathy Hass, Teresa Roberson, Victoria Shankland, Kathy Sanchez and Linda Kielty.

3rd place: Marina Stinson, Anne Carter, Barbara Horrigan, Cheryl Ritsema, Clair Bond and Sue Hoover.

The Women’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. The club meets on Tuesdays in the Magnolia Room at the country club between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. to tee off at 8 a.m. for 18 holes of golf.
