The Knitting and Crochet program is a new program the library is offering on the first and third Fridays from 1 to 4 p.m. throughout 2019. The first class meets on Jan. 4. The free program is for adults who want to learn or enjoy sharing their knowledge. Beginners are welcome. There is ample expertise for those who know some techniques and want to explore more advanced patterns. Some members of the group also make items for donation and charities. Participants must provide their own tools and materials.

The new Technology for Seniors program is a four-week program that will cover beginner level introductions to iPads and iPhones on Jan. 12,  Android tablets and phones on Jan. 19 and Windows 10 on January 26. On Feb. 2, the program will cover topics on internet safety, email scams and telephone scams. Sessions are held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring their own device or one to use during the session.

The Riverside County Library System libraries will be closed on New Year’s Eve. The digital resources at rivlib.net will be available during the closure with the exception of Brain Fuse Tutoring.
