Women’s golf tournament to benefit foster kids program

The Women’s Golf Club is hosting its annual Christmas Tournament and Installation on Tuesday, Dec. 11. The cost for golf and lunch is $35.00. Lunch only is $20. Signups are taken at the Golf Pro Shop at the country club. The deadline is Dec. 4.

The format is a nine-hole Scramble with six players per team. Tee time is 8:30 a.m.

The club is collecting unwrapped toys again this year for the Mattress Firm Foster Kids program. The program’s mission is to help foster children feel secure in a new home, successful at a new school and confident in the community. Tournament participants are asked to participate in the Toy Drive by donating an unwrapped toy. For more information, contact Linda Johnson at 951-285-5050.

The Women’s Golf Club is a member of the Southern California Golf Association. The club meets on Tuesdays in the Magnolia Room at the country club between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. to tee off at 8 a.m. for 18 holes of golf.

The club’s mission is promoted through camaraderie, social events, recognition and tournaments throughout the year.  Major tournaments and events include the Presidents Cup, Club Championship, Senior Championship and Breast Cancer Tournament. The club strives to be a source of pride and enjoyment for all members. Other women in the community are invited to participate in all the club has to offer.
