Batinich, DeVoss take first in Bassmasters fishing tournament

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club held its November fishing tournament on Saturday, Nov. 10. Eleven boats participated.

The team of Shane Spinning and Danny Batinich took first place with a total fish weight of 12.96 pounds.

Travis Smith and Mark DeVoss came in second place with a total fish weight of 11.67 pounds.

Third place went to Nolan Cromwell with five fish weighing a total of 11.55 pounds.

The Big Fish of the Day title went to Travis Smith with a bass weighing 3.88 pounds. All fish were released back into the lake.

The Bassmasters Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at the country club.
