Seniors invited to holiday parties at senior center

It’s not too early for seniors to start planning their holiday gatherings. Canyon Lake seniors 55 years and older are invited to a Christmas Dinner Party and a New Year’s Eve Dinner-Dance at the Senior Center.

The Senior Center Work Group is hosting a free Christmas Dinner Party for seniors on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m. Dessert and non-alcoholic drinks are included. Entertainment includes a performance by the Canyon Lake Choraleers.

Reservations are required. Signups are taken at the POA office. Seating is limited to 75 seniors.

The New Year’s Eve Dinner-Dance will be held on Monday, Dec. 31, from 6 to 11 p.m. The semi-formal event includes a catered dinner. Appetizers will be served at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. DJ Rob Robinson will provide the entertainment for the evening.

The New Year’s Eve countdown and champagne toast will be celebrated at 10 p.m. Party favors will be provided. Tickets cost $35 and go on sale at the POA office on Monday, Dec. 3.
