Eight-one turkeys donated to city’s Turkey Drive

The City of Canyon Lake held its 8th annual Frozen Turkey and Food Drive on Nov. 5. Residents, clubs and businesses were encouraged to give the gift of a Thanksgiving meal by donating frozen turkeys and other non-perishable items.

Eighty-one turkeys and 115 bags of fixings were collected then donated to Helping Our People of Elsinore (H.O.P.E.), a non-profit organization that has been serving the less fortunate in Elsinore Valley through its food ministry for more than 25 years. Services provided by H.O.P.E. benefit more than 100 Canyon Lake families.
