Pickleball Club attends National Championships

Members of the Canyon Lake Pickleball Club attended the USA Pickleball National Championships on Nov. 9 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, California.

With an impressive 16,900 seating capacity, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden is the second largest tennis stadium in the world.

To provide the best-in-class experience for pickleball players during the National Championship, the existing tennis courts are painted and converted into pickleball courts. “There are 45 pickleball courts painted specifically for pickleball,” said Canyon Lake Pickleball Club Vice President Jeannette Williams. “The nets are temporary nets that look and play like permanent nets.”

The Canyon Lake Pickleball Club welcomes beginners and regular players for social play Monday through Friday from 8 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

A Twilight Social Mixer for club members only is held monthly on the third Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m.
